Hey there,

My name is Mik, and I’m a woodworker. I run my little wood shop in Black Creek, BC currently specializing in small keepsake boxes, cutting boards, and many other hardwood projects.

I always had an interest in woodworking and building things with my own two hands. Life was just too busy and I never took the time to pursue my interest until recently. When we moved to our property here in Black Creek there was a huge amount of work to be done. Rather than pay others to do a lot of the work, I chose to spend that money on tools and do a lot of the work myself. My logic was that after the work was done, I would still have the tools to do other projects. Now that there are pauses between those mandatory tasks, I’ve taken up woodworking with those very tools and I’m having a blast doing it!

Currently I’m working on smaller projects as my shop space is quite limited. I plan to work on upgrading my shop space over time and eventually get into building custom furniture alongside my keepsake boxes and cutting boards etc.
